Printed Menu Display
In the heart of London’s Chinatown, High Yaki brings a fresh take on Japanese BBQ and sushi to one of the city’s busiest dining destinations. Known for its hands-on grilling experience – featuring dry-aged wagyu and sashimi elegantly arranged on signature wooden staircases, the restaurant offers an elevated version of DIY dining. Alongside the BBQ, guests can also explore Omakase-style sushi, donburi bowls and comforting sukiyaki, in a setting that blends authenticity with a modern feel.
We were asked to design a large-scale printed menu, 1.5 metres wide, to sit outside the restaurant and guide diners through the variety of dishes on offer before they step inside.
TASTEFULLY DESIGNED
The menu needed to feel spacious and easy to browse, whilst also accommodating a wide and detailed selection of food across categories.
Despite its physical size, space was at a premium due to the sheer volume of options. Our approach focused on clear structure, careful typographic hierarchy and well-balanced spacing to help the hungry intuitively navigate the menu.
Selected hero images of signature dishes were used to draw attention and offer a taste of the visual presentation guests could expect inside the restaurant.
The result is a mouth-watering, street-side introduction to the culinary delights of High Yaki.
