Tesco – Digital Publishing App & Advertising
Following a request to develop in-app Christmas advertisements for Tesco, to be integrated into the Metro app alongside editorial content and in-paper advertorials. These digital interstitials were strategically positioned to maximise exposure and engagement – reaching Metro’s vast audience of app users. In addition to creating in-app ads, we designed HTML emails as part of Tesco’s Christmas campaign. These emails were meticulously crafted to convey the holiday spirit and offer valuable content and incentives to recipients during the festive season.
The overarching goal of the campaign was to provide assistance and inspiration to customers during the holiday season. To achieve this, we designed various elements that catered to different needs and interests. For example, one component of the campaign was a “Secret Santa guide” featuring low-cost gift ideas, aimed at helping customers navigate the challenges of gift shopping on a budget.
Another key aspect of the campaign was driving traffic to Tesco’s YouTube channel, where festive followers could access exclusive content and expert advice from notable figures such as John White, Linda Barker, Aaron Khan, and Laura Jewell. These experts shared invaluable tips and insights on how to #MakeChristmas memorable, offering inspiration for holiday meals, decorations and more.
