CCO TURNOVER STUDY 2025

Working with CASA (the Corporate Affairs Search Alliance), we supported in the design and visual storytelling of a major research project examining turnover trends in the Chief Communications Officer role across some of the world’s largest companies. The study originally began with analysis of the Fortune 500, uncovering how CEOs and senior leaders approach hiring at the top level of communications. Following strong interest in the initial report, including media coverage from PRWeek and Axios, the next phase expanded significantly. With two years of data now available, the CASA team could begin to compare trends over time. The study also grew in scale, combining the Fortune 500 with the S&P 500, and incorporating key European markets, bringing the total number of companies analysed to over 1,000.

THE RESULT WAS A SET OF 3 REPORTS

1) A Global Report, offering a first look at turnover patterns across regions.

2) A U.S. Report, building on the previous year’s work with new insights.

3) A European Report, combining data from the FTSE 100, CAC 40, DAX 40, AEX and ISEQ 20 to provide a broader regional view.

Our role was to bring clarity and structure to the presentation of this research – helping the data speak, and shaping a format that would make the findings easy to navigate for executive audiences around the world.
