Unilever Advertorial

This project marked our first serious collaboration with The Metro Newspaper and proved to be an exciting venture. We were tasked with designing a ‘Mini Metro’ for Unilever, aiming to make a significant impact with a smaller-than-usual format. The headline, “Today’s big news is Compressed” perfectly captured the essence of the campaign, raising awareness for Unilever’s new deodorant packaging line, ‘Compressed’ – where smaller truly is better.

BIG THINKING, SMALL DESIGN

This innovative piece highlighted the benefits of smaller, leaner and greener products, demonstrating how they can positively impact our lives. Measuring A5 in portrait size, the Mini Metro brought production costs down through its standardised format, making it an efficient and eco-friendly solution. Despite its compact size, it retained all the regular Metro features that readers love, whilst integrating into each edition of the larger daily newspaper.

The ‘Mini Metro’ was a success, communicating Unilever’s message while maintaining the familiar and beloved Metro style. It was a brilliant project to work on, setting the stage for our future collaborations and our ability to deliver impactful design in a smaller than usual format.
